Delta’s shortest flights from the United States to Europe are seasonal links between New York and Iceland, with the Reykjavík service returning in March. The trip from John F. Kennedy International Airport to Keflavík takes five hours and 25 minutes at its quickest, using a Boeing 767-300ER during the Northern Hemisphere summer season.

Other seasonal Iceland flights connect Keflavík with Detroit and Minneapolis-St. Their gate-to-gate times are five hours and 41 minutes and six hours and two minutes, respectively, and both use Boeing 757-200 aircraft. Delta also flies year-round from New York to Dublin, Boston to Dublin, Boston to London Heathrow, New York to Edinburgh, and Boston to Lisbon, while several additional routes operate seasonally or with lighter winter schedules.

The other short services include New York to Shannon, Boston to Edinburgh, and New York and Boston to Lisbon. Dublin and Shannon offer U.S. customs preclearance, allowing travelers to complete border processing before departure. Delta plans to move New York–Lisbon service to the Airbus A330-900 next summer.
