Komfort Kruisers RV Club is celebrating its 40th anniversary in Simi Valley this month. The group held its inaugural rally in September 1986 and initially served people who owned Komfort motorhomes. Although it retained its original name, membership later opened to owners of other motorhomes and trailers. Several founding-era members were recently granted honorary lifetime membership for the milestone.

The social club now brings together RV owners from Simi Valley and other Southern California communities, including locations in Ventura County and the Los Angeles area. Couples and individuals participate, using vehicles that range from towable trailers and converted vans to Class A and Class C coaches. Both longtime travelers and newcomers to RVing are eligible to join.

Members typically take outings within California during roughly 10 months each year, meeting at campgrounds and RV resorts for shared meals and activities. Scheduled trips include Bonelli Bluffs RV Resort in San Dimas from Oct. 1-4 and Sun Outdoors Wine Country RV Resort in Paso Robles from Nov. 12-16. A New Year’s rally at Emerald Desert RV Resort in Palm Desert runs Dec. 28-Jan. 2, 2027. Komfort Kruisers is affiliated with the Family RV Association, whose chapters span North America.
