Halloween Celebration Returns to Heavenly Village

Heavenly Village in South Lake Tahoe will host its Halloween celebration on Saturday, October 31, 2026. The family event runs from 3:00-6:00 pm, with free public access continuing through 7:00 pm. Children can collect candy from more than 50 participating shops, businesses and local organizations throughout the village.
The afternoon also includes bounce houses, slides, live music and zombie DJs. A witches walk gives adults a costume-focused activity, while South Lake Tahoe fire and police personnel are scheduled to appear with firetrucks, candy and stickers. The program is being presented by The Shops at Heavenly Village with the South Tahoe Chamber of Commerce and Desolation Hotel.
A $1,000 costume contest is part of the celebration, with cash and prizes available across several categories. The contest is scheduled for 6:30 pm on the main stage, after the trick-or-treating period. Visitors arriving for the event can use the Heavenly Village Garage, where parking is free from 3:00-7:00 pm.
