Simi Valley’s steampunk celebration returns to Strathearn Historical Park and Museum on Oct. 3 and 4. Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District will host the gathering from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on both days at 137 Strathearn Place.

Families will find live performances, themed talks, craft activities, artisan sellers, Model T rides and a Kids Family Fun Factory. Food and beverages will be sold. Victorian-style costumes, imaginative inventions and vintage-looking machinery shape the theme, but dressing up is optional.

Advance admission costs $20 for one day or $30 for the weekend through Sept. 30. At the event, a single-day ticket rises to $30, while a weekend pass remains $30.

An adults-only evening called Gilded Gears After Dark will extend the celebration. The Rotary Club of Simi Valley is hosting this separate event for guests 21 and older, featuring lantern-lit music, costumed performers, vendors, a grand raffle and food. A full bar will serve craft beer, local wine and two cocktails created for the occasion.
