Takomo’s First Putter Brings Low-Torque Design for £199
The Lumo M1 uses a machined steel head, comes in three lengths, and includes a SuperStroke grip.

Takomo has entered the putter market with the Lumo M1, a mid-sized mallet built around a low-torque, center-balanced design. The Finnish direct-to-consumer company developed it with help from Otso Golf, and the model is aimed at golfers who want steadier performance without moving into premium pricing. The satin steel version costs £199, while the black finish is £219.
Testing found the milled 303 stainless-steel face produced a soft strike with enough feedback for judging pace. Its grooves helped the ball start rolling cleanly when the green was damp or dirty, and the head stayed relatively stable when contact missed the center. The reviewer found it less forgiving than some larger zero-torque and lie-angle-balanced competitors, however. The heel-shafted setup may also feel unfamiliar to golfers used to a conventional putter.
The Lumo M1 has one alignment stripe and a restrained satin finish, though golfers wanting more visual help may find the uncluttered design limiting. It comes in 33-, 34- and 35-inch versions, with matching head weights, plus a KBS CT Tour shaft and Takomo-branded SuperStroke 2.0 PT grip. A blade-style B1 is also part of Takomo’s first putter range.
- Available lengths are 33, 34 and 35 inches.
- The head has 3 degrees of loft and a 70-degree lie.
- Buyers cannot test the putter before purchasing.
- A blade-style B1 joins the Lumo M1 in the range.
