Two limited-run Scotty Cameron mallets priced at £729 reach golf shops on September 24. The release applies the company’s Onset Centre setup to the Phantom 5 and Phantom 11R. Its shaft sits behind the face’s front edge and lines up with the head’s balance point, helping limit twisting and face movement during a putt.

Both versions have a dark PVD coating intended to cut glare. Three bright guides surround the ball visually during setup. The compact Phantom 5 has a winged shape often seen in tour play. Carbon steel spans its hitting surface, while a chain-link milling pattern is meant to soften impact sound and feel. The rounded Phantom 11R is larger and built with high MOI for added steadiness.

Each putter has a black steel shaft, matching mid-size Matador grip and a head made 15-gram heavier. Shaft lean is one-degree. Buyers can choose 33, 34 or 35-inch builds. Loft measures 3.5 degrees; the lie setting is 70-degree. Scotty Cameron calls these its lowest-torque offerings, though it does not label them zero-torque. The design targets players who favor limited face rotation and a more direct back-and-forward motion.

What to know
  • The Phantom 11R comes in right- and left-handed versions.
  • The Phantom 5 is sold only for right-handed players.
