Garmin’s Approach S72 gives golfers more ways to study what happens during a round. The watch records pulse changes around each shot, then connects those patterns with the golfer’s score for later review. Wrist-based measurements also capture hand movement, wrist turn and the length of the takeaway. Range sessions can be saved in Garmin Connect and credited toward fitness goals.

Course tools include overhead hole views for choosing layups and spotting lower-risk misses. Golfers with a current Garmin Golf Membership can see contour-based guidance showing the direction of a putt’s break and the typical grade. Afterward, the Garmin Golf app reports whether putts tended to finish long or short, miss to either side, and find the cup. The watch comes in 43mm and 47mm versions, both with an AMOLED screen, titanium trim, sapphire glass and a fabric strap.

Away from golf, the S72 monitors sleep, stress, energy and heart rate, with profiles for mobility and strength work. Garmin has also added calling, simple spoken controls and an adjustable flashlight. Battery estimates reach 20 hours while golfing with GPS, or 16 days when GPS is inactive.
